Pikachu (free pattern)

You can't get into making Pokémon themed amigurumi without making everyone's favourite electro-mouse. As ever, I'm not really happy with the embroidery of the face (it always gets me into a cold sweat to be honest), but the rest of the body is cute enough. And he's easy to make, as Pikachu has quite a blobby physique, ideal for amigurumi.

For Pikachu, you'll need some yellow, dark brown and black yarn, as well as some stuffing, black embroidery thread, some red felt for the cheeks and two black safety eyes. I've used cotton SMC Catania yarn, suitable for a 2.00-2.50mm hook.
